About Us
We enjoy attending dog shows as well as participating in them. We go to shows in NorthEastern Pennsylvania, NJ & Long Island, NY. We are not the typical show-dog-people-fanatics; we participate because its fun and if we win then that's cool too. We do not travel every weekend to these dog shows, we do not feel that a dog's life should consist of being driven around every weekend in a car all over the U.S. That's not a life for a dog. Our children have fun seeing all the different dog breeds and are excited if we get a pretty colored ribbon. We call our relatives and friends and ask them to join us for a day to see all the different kinds of beautiful dog breeds there are at these events. We go to 2 or 3 dog shows a year, thats all.
And when we do go to a show, we are actually happy to talk to people. We handle our own dogs, we don't pay somebody to run around the show ring for us. We will gladly let you pet our dogs and answer your questions. Imagine that--dog show people that look happy to talk to people. We don't fluff n buff our dogs so you and your kids can pet them at the shows. Betcha, you'll never experience that at a dog show. I remember at one show a woman came up to us at a dog show and said..and I quote.."you guys look normal, can I pet your dog and ask you questions?" Well as soon as we said "Sure!" The woman called her family over and said "These people will let us touch the dogs!" And you know what--our dogs actually won that day--even with non-show-dog people touching them. CRAZY, I KNOW!!
All of our dogs have the run of the house.....as you can tell by the pictures!!! When it's time for bed they sleep in their crates which are located in the master bedroom. The dogs have a fenced area outside that includes a pond, just for them. But most of the time they run free on our land. We do not have little "huts" in the backyard for our dogs. We are not a commercial or backyard breeder. Our puppies are born in the master bathroom and grow up in a fabulous pen in the kitchen until they are ready to go to their new homes. We are an extremely organized and clean family, with this many dogs and children; you have to be!!
Our puppies are paper trained starting at 3 weeks, crate trained starting at 5 weeks-where the pups can sleep alone for at least 2 hours. The puppies are also socialized with children, adults and other dogs from day 1. The most important thing is to have a healthy, happy, well-behaved, socialized puppy. You'll receive a very calm puppy--playful but calm. We have a LIVE PUPPY CAMERA that goes on once the puppies are 5 weeks old. All prospective owners and interested parties are welcome to login and take a peek or watch all day.
We are a young couple, full of energy and always on the go. We have 5 young children and many young dogs!!! We have A.K.C. Flat-Coated Retrievers, A.K.C. American-Cocker Spaniels, A.K.C. Long-Hair Weimaraners and Chatham Hill RetrieversTM. We love playing with our dogs, whether it's running all day on the farm, jumping in the pond with the pups or watching them all roll around in the snow. We grew up in the suburbs on Long Island, NY and have been living in the Poconos Mountains of Pennsylvania for the past 12 years!! We love the mountains and the country living!!
